Rachel and Tony were at "The Lazy Harp", nursing their cups of strong tea. Rachel sighed dramatically, flipping through her notebook. "My candle business is not going well. I need a new plan."
Tony, mid-count of how many fries he'd eaten ("17… 18…"), looked up. "A ladder? To reach higher enlightenment? For your candles?"
"No!" Rachel laughed. "A plan! As in, a course of action. I need to sell more candles. Maybe offer discounts? Or expand online? This downturn is hurting my cheek!"
Tony nodded sympathetically, though his focus had returned to his fries. "Maybe offer free fries with every candle?"
"Tony!" Rachel exclaimed, shaking her head. "That would add to my expense, not decrease it!"
"But everyone loves Bob's fries!" Tony said defensively, referring to his beloved oven.
"Even if that were true," Rachel retorted, patiently, "the logistics are too complex. And shipping hot fries? Perishable goods with candles?"
Tony frowned, then brightened. "Maybe candles that *smell* like Bob's fries? Irish cheddar and rosemary candles?"
Rachel looked at Tony, a glimmer of hope in her eye. "Actually… that's not a bad idea!"
The two friends finished their tea, plotting the future of Irish cheddar-scented candles. Tony, of course, made sure to finish counting his fries. 27, a new record at "The Lazy Harp."
